Counselling

Fees

Free Telephone Assessment (30 mins)

£45 per Counselling Session (50 mins)

Counselling is a talking therapy which can help with many difficult life problems – from coping with traumatic experiences and events, to dealing with stress, depression and anxiety or managing emotions and behaviours. People often choose to have counselling because they are experiencing difficulties and distress in their lives.

I use an integrative approach which means I incorporate skills and theories from different counselling models to best suit the needs of each individual.

Before counselling commences, each of my potential clients are invited to have an initial telephone assessment with me. This is free and lasts around 30mins.  This assessment allows you to give me an overview of the issues you would like to address in counselling and the opportunity for you to ask me any questions.

I will ask information-gathering questions to identify your needs, hopes and expectations from counselling. This allows us both the opportunity to discuss if we can work together to achieve the focus discovered in the assessment to best meet your individual needs.

Supervision

Fees

Free Introductory Meeting (30 mins)

£50 per hour for Supervision Sessions

I am a qualified, experienced clinical Supervisor of Counsellors, Wellbeing, Health and Mental Health professionals with a background in safeguarding. I use an integrative approach to Supervision incorporating the Process and Developmental Models of Supervision. I work from a strengths based perspective to provide support and encouragement in a safe and confidential environment.

I tailor supervision to the individuals needs and adapt my approach in order to allow supervisees the space to reflect on their work, increase self-awareness and address their personal effectiveness.

I believe that trust and integrity in the supervisory relationship are an essential foundation to develop reflective practitioners who are effective, professional and ethical in their work.

My personal aim as a supervisor is that my supervisees will have a valuable experience from working with me. It is essential that this is a collaborative process between me and my supervisees. Therefore, regularly addressing the supervisory relationship and reviewing the supervision process is important to ensure that any difficulties are addressed and overcome.

I feel that building an open and trusting environment with clear boundaries and contracts around roles, responsibilities and expectations are key to its success.
